Returning up the steep hairpin bends on the road was surprisingly ok in the morning and was followed by a long and gradual descent from the Col d'Orgambideska to Larrau past interesting cliffs on the left. A short climb from the river to Larrau was helped by the smell and hence knowledge of a boulangerie in the village.
Passing the Gîte d'étape at Logibar where there was no space for camping, we headed up the Gorges d'Olhadubi as we though there would be camping near the top. The gorge was impressively deep and our route involved crossing a thin (and bouncy) suspension bridge near the junction with the Gorges d'Holzarté. Walking to the head of the gorge was in woodland to the south, consequently we saw little evidence of it here other than tributary waterfalls. The head of the gorge did indeed provide some space for a tent, and peaceful too considering the number of walkers that had also been heading up the valley.
